The Challenge
Design, Manufacture and test a Plug valve that would work in a regular and high temperature environment. This required design and components that included components that not only provided a leak free operation in regular environments, but also could safely withstand high temperatures.
The Solution
A Fire Safe valve with safe and robust seating and sealing under harsh temperature environments. We analyzed and sourced a variety of cast components, seating elements, elastomers and hardware. Using Ansys, the design was evaluated through FEA. A prototype was built and the design validated through a rigorous hydro test, cycle test and fire test process. The result was successful.
